Job Description

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting

• Drive investment decisions and capital allocation

• Partner with executives to guide growth and strategy

• Evaluate financial risks and opportunities

• Support long-term business and expansion planning

Operations & Compliance

• Oversee budgeting, cash flow, and treasury management

• Ensure compliance with regulations and financial best practices

• Implement financial processes and controls

• Strengthen internal audit and governance systems

•  Improve operational efficiency across finance functions

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to tax regulations and compliance with statutory financial requirements.

• Build and maintain productive relationships with tax authorities and relevant regulatory agencies.

• Oversee accurate and timely tax filings and payments.

• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise leadership

• Reduce tax exposure through compliant optimization strategies

Treasury & Fund Management

• Manage the company’s cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships.

• Develop and oversee capital structure strategies, including equity, debt, and working capital management.

• Coordinate fundraising activities and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.

• Optimize liquidity and working capital cycles

• Oversee financial risk management (FX, interest rate, credit)

Team & Culture

• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team

• Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration

• Communicate financial performance and risks to leadership

• Set clear team goals and performance expectations

• Promote continuous professional development

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA (mandatory).

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in the energy, oil, or gas sector.

• Proven track record in financial leadership, treasury management, taxation, and compliance.

• Experience in working with boards, regulatory bodies, and external auditors.

• Advanced proficiency in financial systems, ERP software, and MS Office Suite.
