Key Responsibilities:

1. Route Optimization and Planning:

 Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency. Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient schedules.

2. Inventory Management:

Proactively maintain a stock level of vehicle parts and accessories.

3. Communication and Coordination:

 Serve as a liaison between the marketing team and the drivers. Communicate effectively with drivers to relay instructions, updates, and changes in schedules.

4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

 Maintain accurate records of vehicle repair schedule and part replacement. Prepare repair quotes and sign-off documents for vendors.

5. Vendor Management:

 Coordinate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers.  Negotiate rates and terms with vendors to optimize operational costs.

6. Compliance:

 Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing transportation. Assist in obtaining necessary permits and licenses for transportation activities.

7. Problem Resolution:

 Address logistics-related issues promptly and proactively find solutions to minimize operational disruptions. Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to investigate and resolve transportation and logistics-related incidents.

8. Technology Utilization:

 Fleet management software to track vehicle activities, monitor driver behaviours and generate reports. Stay updated on technological advancements in logistics and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  •  Previous experience in logistics or a related role.
  •  Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Familiarity with logistics and inventory management software.
  •  Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
